In the modern world trademarks are widely used and, as one of the objects of industrial property, have turned into the effective factor of a successful functioning of enterprises. By individualizing the goods of the concrete manufacturer, guaranteeing quality and advertising products, trademarks represent one of the major mechanisms to increase the market demand for the production of a certain manufacturer, and this phenomenon gives the opportunity to augment production output and to get additional profits. Protection of marks in the Republic of Belarus is granted through registration in the State register of trademarks and service marks, which is kept by the National Center of Intellectual Property, patent body of the Republic of Belarus, (national registration), as well as in accordance with the international treaties of the Republic of Belarus (international registration).
